Yet another star name has been added to the stellar line-up for this year’s Farmfoods European Senior Masters, in the form of Irish Ryder Cup legend, Paul McGinley.
The star will be back at the Forest of Arden, after falling short last year to Stephen Dodd who took home the coveted championship title. During the course of his career, McGinley has achieved plenty including winning four times on the European Tour, prior to joining the Staysure Tour last year.
However, he has perhaps become best known for his performances in the Ryder Cup. In what has gone on to become one of the standout moments in Ryder Cup history, McGinley sank a ten-foot putt to defeat Jim Furyk in his match and win the competition in the process.
He went on to contribute to three consecutive wins as a player before captaining the side to victory in 2014. Joining him on the course for the four-day event will be 1991 Masters winner, Ian Woosnam OBE, and the event host Peter Baker.
This year, the event will take place between 4–7 October and there are a few playing opportunities still available. For more information, and to get your FREE tickets, click here
